Front Line Force

Front Line Force (FLF) is a Half-Life multiplayer mod that swaps bomb plants and flags for relentless attack/defend push-maps. Two teams—Attackers and Defenders—fight over sequential capture points. Once captured, a point is permanently locked, pushing the frontline forward. Rounds end when Attackers capture all points or the timer runs out, then sides swap. With fast respawns and continuous pressure, camping is pointless and teamwork is essential.

Originally launched in the early 2000s by Adrian “Pink” Finol (who later joined Valve), FLF evolved steadily throughout the GoldSrc era. The most common community versions today are v1.8b and the “final” v1.9, an archive release compiled in 2004.

Game Modes

Classic FLF

  • Time-based rounds with Attackers vs. Defenders.
  • Attackers must capture all Capture Points (CPs).
  • Defenders win by preventing captures until time expires.

Search & Destroy

  • Attackers are given specific objectives to destroy.
  • Example: On flf_chion, destroy the Security Room, then the Chemical Storage room.

Key Capture

  • Same as Classic, but Attackers require a keycard to capture CPs.
  • The key spawns near the Defender base.
  • If the key-holder is killed, it drops and can be picked up—or after 45s it respawns at its original spot.

Conclusion

FLF remains a cult-favourite Half-Life mod for fans of class-based, objective-driven teamplay. Whether you’re revisiting the 2000s nostalgia or discovering it for the first time, these downloads let you jump right back in.
