Half-Life Elite (HLE) is a competitive mod for Half-Life Deathmatch, often considered the Opposing Force equivalent to Adrenaline Gamer. It introduces new modes, server controls, and features that raise the precision, variety, and competitive depth of HLDM.
The mod includes eight gameplay modes (seven new), a spectator/observer system, and an integrated voting menu allowing players to make server decisions without RCON. With over 30 included custom maps, radar and waypoint tracking, plus enhanced team status displays, HLE pushes standard HLDM into a more tactical and team-driven experience.
Beyond the big features, HLE also introduces small but impactful changes: minor weapon tweaks, bug fixes, an updated VGUI menu for server options, and client conveniences such as weapon binds and long-jump aliases directly in the launcher. Thanks to these refinements, players rarely need to touch the console—everything can be configured in-game.
