Overview

This video is a demonstration of Bubble Mod 25, the updated version of Bubble Mod that I have been working on. It showcases both new and existing features of the mod in Half-Life Deathmatch. The aim of Bubble Mod 25 is to expand gameplay with unique runes, special weapons, and fun mechanics that create chaotic, strategic, and memorable matches.

Features Shown in the Video

• Damager Rune: Provides extra damage, making all weapons significantly more powerful.
• Backpack Rune: Restores ammo over time and boosts maximum capacity.
• Health Regenerator Rune: Regenerates health over time, up to 150 HP.
• Armour Regenerator Rune: Regenerates armour over time, up to 150.
• Crowbar Rune: Grants a throwable crowbar with extreme damage potential.
• Mega Grenade: A devastating explosive that causes massive area damage.
• Snark Mine: Deploys snarks that ambush opponents.
• Flashbang Mine: Disorients enemies with a blinding flash effect.
• Kamikaze Feature: Sacrifice yourself in a powerful explosion that takes enemies with you.
• Snark-o-Matic with Teleporter: Projectile Snarks and also spawns waves of snarks using the built-in teleport mechanic.

Gameplay Note

All runes can be discarded using the drop_rune command. For fast gameplay, bind this command to a key to quickly swap runes depending on the situation.

Overview

New runes have been added to the server, inspired by the Opposing Force style of gameplay. These runes provide various power-ups, adding an extra layer of strategy and competition to the game. Below are the additional available runes and their effects:

Available Runes

• Damager Rune: Increases the damage output of all weapons, allowing you to deal more devastating blows to your opponents.
• Backpack Rune: Constantly restores your ammo over time and increases the maximum primary ammo capacity for certain weapons.
• Health Regenerator Rune: Increases your health up to a maximum of 150 HP and continuously regenerates health while active.
• Armour Regenerator Rune: Functions similarly to the Health Regenerator Rune but applies to armour instead, increasing it up to 150 and regenerating it over time.

Gameplay Tip

All runes can now be discarded using the drop_rune command in the console. For convenience, you can bind this command to a key to make dropping runes quicker and easier.

Overview

Finally, let’s put the Egon to good use! Outpost 42 has always been a BubbleMod server, where the Egon was transformed into a bubble gun. That remains true, but now it has even more firepower—alongside bubbles, it can fire snarks and even function as a teleportation device.

Features

• Snark Launcher: Fire snarks directly from the Egon, provided you’ve collected some.
• Teleportation: Instantly teleport to another area of the map while leaving behind three snarks to fight off enemies.
• Ammo Usage: Teleportation consumes 60 uranium ammo per use, so plan carefully.
• Bubble Mode: Retains the classic BubbleMod functionality of the Egon.

Gameplay Tip

This weapon is pure chaotic fun—experiment and cause mayhem! Use teleportation as both an escape mechanism and a tactical ambush, while managing your uranium ammo reserves wisely.

Overview

Xen Shall Never Yield!
Pray to the Snark Gods by typing snark party in chat, and if they are pleased, they will bless everyone on the server with 5 snarks each. This can create absolute chaos, especially on smaller maps!

Outpost 42 is a snark-friendly server—so if you’re not a fan of these mischievous critters, this may not be the place for you.

Unleash the beasts

Overview

The Kamikaze feature is enabled on this server, inspired by the original AdminMod plugin that turned players into ticking time bombs. You can activate this feature by typing kamikaze into the chat. Once triggered, you will begin ticking like a bomb, leaving behind an orange trail with sparks and particles as you move. Only one person can activate the bomb at a time.

The Kamikaze effect lasts for 20 seconds before culminating in a powerful explosion, instantly killing you and anyone unfortunate enough to be nearby. If you are killed while Kamikaze is active, the effect will reset.

To manually deactivate Kamikaze before detonation, use the drop_rune command in the console.
