Vampire Slayer (VS) is a multiplayer mod for Half-Life that transforms standard deathmatch into a dark, team-based battle between Vampires and Slayers. Released in the early 2000s, it quickly became known for its asymmetrical gameplay, immersive maps, and round-based mechanics.

Gameplay Overview

Matches are round-based, with two asymmetrical teams: Vampires rely on speed, stealth, and melee attacks, while Slayers use ranged weapons and stakes.

Key mechanics include:

Vampires rise again unless staked after being shot down.
Feeding on corpses restores Vampire health.
Slayers can use a stake-firing crossbow for ranged kills.
Once dead, players spectate until the next round begins.

How to Install

Download the Windows full release from the links above.
Locate your Half-Life install (default):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life
Extract the archive so it creates a \vs folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life\vs
Restart Steam → Vampire Slayer will appear in your library.
